Our Team

At Better Days Empowerment, a dedicated group brings compassion, strategy, and lived experience together to support personal growth and community resilience.

Ida Eyongetah | LMSW

I founded Better Days Empowerment in Beltsville, MD to expand opportunities and strengthen support for families. Using my experience as a parent and partner, I build programs that combine immediate aid with long-term tools—education, workforce development, and accessible services—measured by job placements, higher family income, and improved school engagement. I lead with humility, accountability, and adaptability, centering local voices and developing resident leaders. Guided by compassion and integrity, my family and I remain committed to empowering families locally and internationally.

Founder & President

Dr. Tanyi Eyongetah

I’m an author and educator who is deeply passionate about encouragement, growth, and creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered. As a writer, my work focuses on reflection, learning, and real-world impact, with the goal of helping individuals and communities move toward positive change. As an educator, I’m committed to mentoring others and developing programs that serve schools and communities in meaningful, lasting ways. My work is rooted in service, collaboration, and the belief that encouragement—when paired with action—can transform lives. I remain guided by the idea that better days are possible when we intentionally show up for one another. I am also a devoted husband and father of two children, and my family inspires and motivates the work I do every day.

Executive Director
Project Manager

Priscille Eyongetah

I’m a high school student who recognizes that transformation occurs when schools, students, and communities work together. I facilitate programs and work with Better Days Empowerment, schools, and the community as a whole to ensure encouragement is accessible, relevant, and effective. This is me: someone who listens, connects, and mobilizes to get things done. Leadership isn’t about recognition; it’s about responsibility, collaboration, and consistently showing up for others.

Project Management Specialist

Dr. Margaret Niger-Thomas

I am a social anthropologist and a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and the education and rights of children, especially the girl child. I earned my Ph.D. from Leiden University in the Netherlands, where my research focused on female entrepreneurship in Cameroon. I founded the Authentique Memorial Empowerment Foundation (AMEF) to support women, children, and youth through education, entrepreneurship, and social change. Since 2020, I have coordinated partnership programs between AMEF and Better Days Empowerment, and in 2026, I was appointed Project Management Specialist, supporting initiatives both in the USA and abroad. I am married and a proud mother of five grown children.
