Home-Grown School Feeding Program

Better Days Empowerment (BDE) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families in need, particularly focusing on the education of underprivileged children in Africa. In 2024, BDE successfully secured monetary contributions that allowed the organization to sponsor a total of eight primary and secondary school children in Uganda. These funds were carefully allocated to ensure these children received the necessary support for their education.

The contributions funded essential expenses, including school fees, which cover tuition and other academic costs necessary for enrollment in schools. Furthermore, BDE provided each child with pocket money to support their daily needs, ensuring they could focus on their studies without financial distractions. Scholastic requirements, including textbooks, writing materials, and uniforms, were also funded, creating an environment conducive to learning.

Transportation costs were addressed to ensure that the children could safely and reliably reach their schools each day. Recognizing that education goes beyond mere tuition and materials, BDE accounted for miscellaneous expenses that may arise throughout the school year, providing a comprehensive support system for these children.

Through this initiative, BDE affirms its commitment to fostering educational opportunities for children in impoverished communities. The organization's efforts are not just about providing financial assistance but also about empowering these young individuals to envision a brighter future for themselves and their families. With ongoing support, BDE strives to create lasting change and improve the educational landscape in Uganda, helping to break the cycle of poverty and provide pathways to success.
