Encouragement In Ink

Register

Encouragement in Ink is a volunteer program where participants write uplifting letters, notes, or messages to brighten the days of individuals in need. Letters are sent to:

  • Seniors in assisted living or retirement communities

  • Patients in hospitals, including children’s hospitals

  • People experiencing challenges who could use a message of hope

Volunteers of all ages can participate by writing positive, motivational messages that are reviewed by staff before delivery. Each approved letter earns service hours, and volunteers help spread kindness and encouragement across the community.

Key Highlights:

  • Open to youth, adults, and seniors

  • Letters must be positive, respectful, and appropriate

  • Volunteers submit letters online for staff review

  • Each approved letter earns 2 service hours

  • Minors must confirm parental consent via a checkbox on the form

Impact:
Encouragement in Ink helps individuals feel valued, supported, and uplifted while giving volunteers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference through written words.
